What are You Looking For? ...
Only for the fearless .... A serious person will at some point realize that institutions, no matter how well intended, eventually become corrupt and fail, as witness to the rise and fall of spectacular civilizations, cultures, and societies through the history of recorded mankind. They may fall from inside or from without, but never the less they pass away. Some cling to the mores and customs of the institutions as if they were sacred in and of itself, refusing to let go, propping up the facade by any means necessary. But others look away in search of lasting foundations. For a captured animal, giving up the secure existence of the zoo keeper's cage to roam free in the jungles does not seem like a pleasant choice. But within freedom lies faith. And faith can only be tempered within the temple of free will. It appears that many major media outlets and political parties are intent keeping the citizen enslaved within the dystopian institutions from whence they derive their power. They relentlessly exploit the base temptations of human nature for personal gain as they strive to perpetuate the ever crumbling institution. The American Brahman seeks to rise above the fray. There's no need to be judgemental or critical...
I think we can all agree that it's easy to take pot shots at others, and I know that a lot of people are looking for a little mindless entertainment after a hard day's drudgery, and it's always easy to find fault with those that are in charge. Everybody's talking about what somebody should have done, or what they would have done if they were king (or queen). But the simple truth is that all of life's events are in the past, and people did what they did, and it doesn't do much good to talk about it unless you're trying to learn form it. It just seems that in America we have such an easy life compared to the rest of the world. And because of this we have a lot of free time and we're basically starved for entertainment. What's available is OK I guess, but sometimes you just want something that doesn't insult human dignity. I'm just trying to offer another alternative to many of the options available. If you're totally satisfied with what you've got that's fine. I guess I'm not a very good salesman in that respect, but I do believe in the product.
